12 Days of Gluten-Free Christmas Cookies

12 days of Christmas Cookies

I love Christmas. The sights, sounds, smells, and tastes. And nothing tastes better than a homemade Christmas cookie. Which is why starting Sunday, I’ll be doing the 12 Days of Christmas Cookies. One new gluten-free cookie recipe every day through Christmas Eve.

Every Christmas Eve we have what we like to affectionally call the “Pig Out.” Yes, it sounds terrible but it’s just so much fun. Our entire family gathers (this year there will be 17 of us!) and we play game and watch Christmas movies while we enjoy a feast that covers the entire 6 foot countertop and the some. On hand will be a dozen+ different gluten-free sweet treats and cookies, meats, cheeses, sandwich fixings, veggie tray, dips, crackers, cheese balls, potato chips, a few salads, polynesian meatballs, chicken satay on skewers, Christmas punch and so much more.

This Christmas Eve tradition began with my folks when we were just small children and it’s grown through the years. Thankfully my entire family is OK with eating gluten-free so I’m able to make the entire feast safe for myself, with the exception of a small table that contains their crackers and breads.

For me, the biggest part of this tradition is the baking of the cookies. I love it! I typically spend the 23rd and 24th in the kitchen baking and making all the delicious treats that I know will be snarfed down as soon as the feast begins.

And I’m excited to share these recipes with you this year. Here is a peek at just a few of the cookies I’ll be sharing with you…

Chocolate Crinkles
Sugar Cookies
Meringue Kisses
Spritz
Norwegian Jam Cookies
Krumkake (easily made GF!)
and 6 more!

Stay tuned. And look for the first of the 12 Christmas Cookies on Sunday!
